What is Etch?

"INGRAINING THE TRUTH OF CHRIST IN THE LIVES OF HIS FOLLOWERS"

Etch is inter-generational . It's a time for all ages to interact with one common purpose: Discipleship. Together, we'll learn, discuss, and experience Christ together. It's a weekly place for all to Share Life and Share Christ.

Etch Electives are offered for TEENS AND ADULTS

Youth and Adult Electives

These electives are designed for 7th grade to adult. They will be much like a classroom format with elements of small group interactions. In these courses you will experience videos, object lessons, lectures, and many other methods of teaching. Find out more information about our current electives below.

In/Out Electives

Each Session offers an elective for those who aren't able to attend each week. These specific electives have a common theme, but aren't necessarily built on week by week. Therefore, a person is able to come "in and out" each week and still not miss a beat.

Interactive Electives

Some sessions will have an "interactive elective" that is designed for you to learn both about Christ, but also a skill or hobby that may interest you. These electives are designed for a hands-on experience.

  • In/OUT: Beyond Sunday

    No registration required

    This elective helps us dive deeper into the sermon from the previous week. Each week is designed to help each person not only continue contemplating the passage and topic from Sunday's sermon, but also to create space for conversations about how to apply the message to our daily lives.

  • W.o.w. bible study: seamless

    cost: $15 for book

    DISCOVER THE SEAMLESS THREAD CONNECTING THE PEOPLE, PLACES, AND PROMISES OF THE BIBLE IN A WHOLE NEW WAY.

    Whether you've grown up hearing Bible stories or you're exploring Scripture for the first time, the full story of the Bible can be overwhelming. The 66 books may seem disconnected at first glance. In this study, Angie Smith shows you how the whole Bible-from Genesis through Revelation-connects as one beautiful, seamless thread.

    In this study you will:

    • understand the Bible as a whole as you change the way you look at Scripture;
    • connect with the people, places, and promises of God's Word in a fresh way;
    • gain clarity and confidence in your understanding of Scripture; discover a biblical context that reshapes and brings to life stories from the Old and New Testaments.
  • INTERACTIVE: WIRED FOR WORSHIP

    no registration required

    Embark on a 7-week interactive to answer the questions of Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How do we worship. Spend time discussing the true meaning of worship. See different ways to engage in worship beyond music. Discover the reasons we walk through the doors each Sunday morning. This elective is for those who prefer a more traditional approach to music or for any who prefer a more contemporary approach. We'll be looking at the benefits of both and why Christians have had such a difficult deciding on which way to go.

Etch Meal

Jesus spends much of his ministry around a table with food, and we have adopted that same method of ministry at Etch. We believe some of the best conversations and relationships are built around the dinner table. Etch begins each Wednesday night with a meal and an activity before we break for electives. Below you can read more details about the meal.

  • Meal is served from 5:30pm to 6:15pm.
  • We suggest a $3 donation per meal.
  • Most weeks will have a kids option.
  • There is a salad bar provided for those looking for a more healthier food option. (Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult)

Community Nights

Etch Community Nights are breaks between our four and six week electives where we all gather for an evening of entertainment, interaction, and worship. Our goal is to share what Christ has been doing in our lives, what we've been learning from him, and also have a little fun while we're doing it.
